I'll never let the idiots at Sam's Social club touch a tire on anything I bulldoze.

They informed me that dismounting a tire to apply a patch on the inside is not "their policy" and is unnecessary and not a recommended way to repair tires. I was actually told that an internal patch was "unsafe".  "Coach" and I had a rather animated discussion about tire repairs. Not sure if "Autobus" figured out I new a little more than he did nigh tire repairs and tire vesture and failure analysis.

I utilize Michelin tires and Michelin's recommended repair is a combination of a sealing plug to go on moisture out of the carcass and a patch inside the tire to assure air retention.

I took a copy of Michelin's tire repair procedures to "Coach" on my next visit. "Coach" doesn't like me much anymore.

I left with a tire still leaking. Was told that they wouldn't fix a plug that was leaking again which lead to the exchange about patching inside of tire. Tires were worn and close to needing replaced and I had already decided to not buy at Sam's Club once again. Was told by "Jitney" my only option was to replace the tire.

I get much improve service at my local tire shop plus they practise it all including height notch alignment.

I made the mistake of buying the "lifetime" road hazard from Walmart. I picked up a nail about a year later. Took it to Walmart to be fixed for "gratis". They examined it and determined that the smash hole was too close to the sidewall to patch. I told argued with them and they agreed to give me a new tire..... pro-rated price.... They then measured the tread and told me that the tire was 80% worn and that I would have to pay eighty% of the new tire price..... I argued that the tire had a 50k mile waranty and only had 10k on it.... They finally agreed to sell me a new tire for 20% of the new tire price ($150),,, $30 plus another $x for mounting, balancing, ect... I should have took the bargain, but I was pissed and told them to park the car outside. I took it to a REAL tire dealer and had it patched and balanced for $xx. I've run it for 2 years since and information technology withal has tread left. Not sure how it wore "80%" in one year and merely 10% in the adjacent two......................... ******sarcasm intended********** Dozer

Same with near any chain-store tire shop....had Tires-Plus decline to fix a leak that was an inch within the tread because information technology was supposedly in the sidewall of the tire.  Had to sign papers releasing them from liability before they would put it back on (united nations-fixed).  I won't have a tire anywhere but an independant shop.

My wife had a bad deal at a Sams Society concluding fall, Two years ago we spent the long dollar on the 90k Michelin tires, last fall the van developed a hell of a shake, so I was domicile from Harvesting corn and she asked me to look at it, and what I constitute when I run my hands around the tire was information technology was total of knots similar the cords broke in it. Now this tire was a long ways from having 90k on it so I told her to take it back and they owe us a new tire. So she did, The guy checked it over, drove the car, run it on the balance machine, and rotated to the front, and said Their it stock-still! My wife chosen me on the telephone, told me what they did, and said now the shake was in the forepart and the steering cycle was shaking. So I told her to go back and get the manager and chew some ass. So she did. The Manager looked the tire over and when he felt the tire he could likewise feel all the knots in it likewise. So he chewed the kids ass for non taking motorcar of the situation correctly and told him to put a new tire on their, prorating the wear and changing the price of course. This is where it become interesting. When she left this time she reaches down to grab her 20oz diet coke that she knew simply had a eat or 2 left in it, and information technology was total correct to the top, warm, and yellow in color!!!!! Someone pissed in it!!!!! Then she called me once more, at present I'm pissed sitting in the combine, I told her to plough the van around bulldoze fast, and put the damn thing right through the whorl upwards door!!!!! Of course she didn't practise that. Good thing information technology was her and not me! This time she got the Shop manager and with piss canteen in hand demanded they take action. They apologized, took her bottle, give her some other $fifty off and told her they would take intendance of the employee. I say she should accept got the tire for free at this point. We should have got a lawyer, and kept the bottle for evidence. probley could of got free tires for life or something. I told my married woman she should make sure this employee does not yet piece of work their. School Of Difficult Knock

You are correct about the repair.

If y'all run Michelin tires that are NOT through a Club store, they come with the Michelin Hope Plan. They offering free towing, complimentary roadside flat help, and some other things.  As with any tire warranty from any brand though on rider tires, Farming is excluded as are other harsh environments.
