Is The Traveler Repairing Itself Destiny 2

Destiny 2: Across Light is less than 24 hours abroad, but Bungie volition host a modest pre-expansion outcome in the Tower on Monday night.

A few weeks agone, in that location were rumblings that Destiny ii would see another end-of-season event thanks to a datamined emblem — similar to the crashing of the Almighty final season. Only later an electronic mail went out to some players, Bungie officially announced the in-game event.

Co-ordinate to game director Luke Smith, the event isn't anything "too crazy," which seems to suggest information technology won't be on the calibration of the Almighty crash. Simply as Bungie prepares to remove multiple planets between now and tomorrow, it seems likely players will go some kind of going-away political party in the Tower.

While players certainly had an idea of when the event could happen, customs manager dmg04 revealed the window players should wait to be in the Tower. On Mon nighttime, players should download a new patch at 7 p.yard. EST and then log in and country in the Tower prior to 9:50 p.m. EST. Players who don't want to go stuck in any weird loading loops should probably log in a scrap earlier.

In one case the event ends — effectually 10 p.m. EST — Bungie will take Destiny 2 servers offline for extended maintenance. The game won't be available once more until Bungie launches Destiny ii: Beyond Light at 12 p.1000. EST on Tuesday, November. 10.

Update (7 p.thousand. EST): Afterwards a tiny patch, Destiny ii's terminal live outcome of Year iii appears to accept started.

In the Tower, you can see a faint, blue lite around the Traveler — which damaged itself during the Red War campaign in 2017. The shattered pieces floating in its orbit appear to exist retracting back inside, and will likely continue to do so for the next few hours.

At starting time glance, information technology seems the Traveler is healing itself alee of the coming state of war with the Darkness.

This isn't just a wild theory. A leaked image of a healed Traveler appeared only a few weeks agone, leading players to speculate this might happen. That same paradigm led players to believe that they would return to the onetime Tower from the original Destiny, simply that hasn't happened yet.

Players haven't unlocked the Calamity Protocol emblem yet, so that might not happen until later in the night. Players have until the servers get downward at 10 p.chiliad. EST to see the healing Traveler for themselves.

Update 2 (9:30 p.thousand. EST): An hour or so into the issue, a new mission called "The Last Urban center" opened in the Tower. This mission sends Guardians into a rarely seen expanse in Destiny: the ground-level of The Final City. The Ghost makes a few remarks about hearing the heartbeat of the Traveler.
